As a mental health practitioner, the ability to choose who and how they approach treatment for a patient would be at their discretion. This helps to insure the therapist is able to recuse themselves if they recognize a potential issue that might affect the treatment and level of care they can provide the patient. It’s best for the patient and therapist. The therapist who is also dealing with issues that affect them mentally and physically. Take care.

One would believe that as a therapist you would be able to equip oneself better to deal with such matters. If seeing so much as something sexually uncomfortable is too much for any one person, said person should likely not be involved in assisting those who may have delt with those sexual experiences. Seems like a different career choice would be best suited
